Terms of Service – Videm

By using the Videm platform, you agree to all the following terms. Please read these terms carefully before using the platform.

1. Definition of Videm and Users

Videm is a secure online platform for uploading and delivering educational content, used by instructors and educational institutions to manage, sell, and provide courses to learners.

In these terms:

  • Videm refers to the company and the platform itself.
  • Instructor or content provider is anyone who publishes a course or educational content on Videm.
  • Participant or student is anyone who purchases or enrolls in a course or content.
  • User refers to any person who uses the Videm platform (instructor, student, or visitor).

2. Videm Services

  • Videm only provides the infrastructure and tools to manage, upload, and deliver educational content and to manage participants.
  • Videm is not a seller or provider of content and is not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or applicability of any content provided by instructors.
  • Any interaction, purchase, or dispute between instructor and participant is solely the responsibility of those parties. Videm only acts as a technical facilitator for communication and payments.

3. User Account and Registration Conditions

  • You must create an account to use certain features of Videm.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and updating of your personal information.
  • Registration for those under 18 years old is only allowed with the approval of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Code of Conduct and Security

To use Videm safely and properly, you must follow these rules:

  • Using Videm for any illegal activities or in violation of local laws is strictly prohibited.
  • Publishing any offensive, hateful, violent, obscene, or unethical content is not allowed.
  • Any attempt to harm the platform or misuse its services is prohibited.
  • Collecting, sharing, or misusing personal data of other users is not allowed.
  • The platform may only be used for educational purposes. Using it for advertising or fraudulent activities is prohibited.
  • Using bots, scripts, or any automated tools to access the platform or collect data is forbidden.

5. Content Ownership and User Rights

  • All content or data uploaded by users (instructors or participants) remains their property, and Videm does not claim intellectual property rights over it.
  • Instructors must respect copyright and must not publish content they do not have the right to use.
  • Uploading any content means you grant Videm permission to store and display that content for educational purposes.
  • Videm may access your content when needed to improve services or resolve technical issues, while respecting your privacy.

6. Payments and Fees

  • Subscription fees, course purchases, and other service charges are collected based on the plans and pricing published on the platform.
  • The instructor is responsible for setting the price of their courses, and Videm only provides the payment gateway.
  • Videm may charge fees, taxes, or service charges according to local laws. Details of fees and taxes are provided on the website.
  • The instructor is responsible for paying taxes on their income and fulfilling other financial obligations according to local laws.

7. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Refund, cancellation, and complaints policies are published in a separate section on the Videm website and should be reviewed before purchase.
  • Videm is only a facilitator for the financial transaction between instructor and participant and does not take responsibility for quality or refunds beyond the platform’s policies.
  • Refund requests must be handled according to the policy of each course or as determined by the instructor. In the case of disputes, Videm only provides contact information to the parties and does not act as an arbitrator.

8. Account Deletion

  • Any user may delete their account at any time, and all associated data and content will be lost.
  • In the event of violation of the rules or attempts to disrupt the service, Videm has the right to temporarily or permanently suspend or delete the offending user’s account.

9. Videm Responsibilities and Limitations

  • Videm is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages resulting from misuse of the platform or content uploaded by users.
  • Videm is provided “as is” with no guarantee, and technical errors or temporary outages may occur.
  • Users are responsible for keeping their login information secure. Videm is not liable for disclosure of user data due to user negligence.

10. Changes to the Terms of Use

  • Videm may modify the terms of use at any time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
  • The latest version of the terms will always be available on the website.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • This agreement and terms of use are subject to the local laws (according to the country of operation).
  • In case of a dispute, an attempt will first be made to resolve the issue amicably. If not resolved, the matter will be referred to the competent courts or legal authorities.
